About

Unable to sleep, Sophia crawls out from beneath her husbands heavy limb and into the night. As she sits looking up at the stars, Sophia notices a small flicker of light in the shape of a rose which draws her into the street and a new dimension.

The film explores the deconstruction of ordered spaces, evoking a fairy tale narrative wherein Sophia is freed from the present through the power of imagination...if only for a moment.

Wow Dan, what a masterpiece! I know she is meant to be awake, but dreams can be like that. So magical and random. I really liked the long shots, animation and her red coat! Bravo. - Jen

Excellent choice of music and talent. The animation worked well too. Was the graphic on the orange wall where Sophia first sees the rose placed or was it there already? It was hard to see exactly what it was at this quality but it looked like a girl in a red coat...

the fantasy element combines well with the use of song to show how any artform used for reflection can be uplifting in its ability to momentarily transcend reality
